Rip off company

PLease don't order from GARDENERS COLLECTIONS.This is a rip off company That will tell you what you want to hear to get rid of you. Ordered some plants and they sent me some old rotten seeds, and when I called them they said that they would correct problem. I never heard from them again and cannot get in touch with them now I had ordered some tomatoes and cabbage plant and they sent some rotten seed and some hay seeds. I will never deal with them again. I have tried several times to contact them, but they will not respond....

SHIPPING RIP OFF

This company will take your money. They price their items inexpensively; but watch out for the shipping that's is where the rip off happens. A small box less than a pound of dried twig came regular mail and the cost was $40.76...When I contacted them they could not explain the shipping cost and just replied that is our standard policy end of discussion. Please shop else where. UPS would charge $15.78 for such shipment and standard mail would charge only $10.00..No where when ordering did they explain they would make a profit on shipping and handling.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I made a order back in February 02, 2012 and According to their website they will send the order Items according to the planting schedule. Which was fine with me but I live in California which basically planting schedule is first on the list which was on March! I called to find out when are they going to send my order on March 30th and they took the funds out of my account on March 23rd. Their customer care informs me "its on its way!" Today, I called and spoke with their customer care, I get the same response! I asked how long does it take for a post delivery within U.S. delivery? More than a month? Come on! I get my order and it looks like they went into their back yard and dug up some plant and sent it to me and charged it! I don't even know if this plant is what I order? Do yourself a favor and DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! What a JOKE!

I also ordered from this place before and were happy with what I got.

I ordered some grass seed in March 2012 and have yet to receive it. The reply to my email inquiry was a stock message.

I can't find a phone number on their web site to call. Don't order from this place.

I ordered empress trees and when they arrived they where dead, just smashed in shippment. The box was 3x the size it should have been and must have bashed around the whole way.

We also ordered grass seed, this came we planted it and waited 5 days nothing so we replanted and still nothing.

Do not buy from this company everything is a scam!

I used to get good stuff from this company, but not this year. Ordered back in February, card was charged in March, and to date have not received a single thing of my order.

Several phone calls and way too many unanswered emails has not resolved anything.

Have inititated a complaint with the BBB on this company. Recommend others do as well.

Gonna have USAA do a charge back on my card. I will not order from this company again.

I'm completely disappointed. My first call was to check on arrival. The date on the computer being shipped was different from what the representative would concede to. Then was told it would be 14 to 21 BUSINESS days for shipping, not the 7 to 10 on the computer. 2nd phone call, I just said please credit my account, this isn't for me. The order has been shipped and since they are all 'seeds' everything will be fine for the shipping dates of 7 to 14 Business days. I order 5 sets of SEEDS, NOT plants. This is what it says on their web page:

We ship you husky, wilt-resistant plants at the proper planting time for your area, together with easy care instructions.

How is that SEEDS??????? Once I return the "UNOPENED' Package to an address that isn't on the box, then I will be credited my $60 something dollars back minus the shipping/handling of seeds. But, if I open the box to accept any portion of the package (including the free banana plant thank you gift) I can't be refunded. This is sad!!

I sent in 3 order with one yet to arrive. Others arrived in dead condition.

Half has had to be returned.

I'm waiting for refund or replacement. I'm not happy about the postage I've had to pay to get them returned.

I ordered from this company last year, and the PLANTS were great. I figured I'd order again this year....wrong choice!

They got my money, told me they'd send at my "correct" planting time, and then sent me $40 worth of SEEDS!!! Seeds, mind you. Not seedlings, not sets, but SEEDS with growing medium and a little "specimen" cup to grow them in. I could've bought a couple pack of seeds and a bag of soil, or peat cups locally for about $5.00.

Then I was told by the Rep that they bought out the original company, and ran out of 'live' plants.I sent this *** back and STILL waiting on a response and refund.

I'll get my money...you can take THAT to the bank. This company is going down.

Plants Arrived Dead

As with many of the other unhappy customers of Gardener's Collection, I too ordered two of the Hummingbird Plants and they were dead upon arrival. I've tried without success to get replacements or refunds. I won't be ordering any more plants, no matter how great they look in their catalog. They put out a catalog that makes their plants look like the greatest on earth. But when I tried to log onto their website I keep getting an error, something about their server being down. Well, I suspect the whole place is down and no one is home anyway. I would warn everyone away from this company! NEVER AGAIN!

Total Ripoff!

I ordered and paid for plants in September. They never arrived and you can't reach them by phone nor do they respond to email. Do yourself and your community a favor and visit a real live local nursery! Not every product lends itself to internet marketing. Certainly living things (plants, pets, dates including the fruits - pun intended of course, etc.) should really be seen before being selected. Plus, for the sake of continuing to have a viable local economy, let's at least look there before buying online. (I did not mean to turn this into a rant but they insist on one hundred words for some reason.)

Stole my money

they don't have a phone number, take your order and you get nothing in return, they changed the name of the company, no answers to e-mails, fake business, steal your money and give your name to other companies to do the same, will call Better Business Bureau and complain to them too, call and complain if you have been ripped off too, does anyone have info on this company, I am sure I sent my order to Connecticut, I want this to help with info for other customers if it can, don't get taken - stay away from this company

Won't give a refund or send my items

I order $81.72 worth of trees and fruit shrubs. Were supposed to be shipped my 5/31/12 as to my shipping zone in Texas. Around 6/1/12 I called and was told that the weather had been to hot to shipand my products would ship 10/1/12 well it's 10/31/12 and after many, many ignored emails I am still waiting for products or refund. I filed a complaint with BBB even though Gardeners Collection has a BBB A+ logo on their site. Gardeners Collection aka Lipenwald, Inc. 22 South Smith Street Norwalk, CT 06855 same address same company humm!!.Don't get your money stolen from this place from what I have read in many, many reviews if youdo get any products they are either dead or low quality or they will just keep your money like me.Go to BBB website and you can add your complaints online it's very easy to do, first complaint I have done. Maybe I will someday get my money back or some dead plants sent in the winter for spring planting.

Gardeners collection

I am very frustrated with them. I ordered 2 items (3 blueberry plants and one seeds) they processed my order and charged my credit card within a few days, then my order on their site said "shipped". After almost a month having not yet received my order I e-mailed the company and they did not say a single word in reply, they only sent me a "FAQ" sheet. About a week later, my order arrived and all 3 plants were shriveled, dry and dead. I again e-mailed them to state that the plants were dead. Once again, all I got in reply was a blank e-mail message with yet again the same "FAQ" sheet attached (which by the way has no information on how to deal with dead plants).

Gardener's Collection is a SCAM

We ordered an empress tree and a hummingbird vine. After about (1) month, we received our order in the mailbox. It was a small cardboard box that contained only dead twigs and did not even resembe the plants that we ordered. Looks like just sticks off the ground. Not sure if this is even what we ordered. And they are DEAD! No root ball - no protection - nothing! VERY DISSATISFIED. Called their customer service team and was advised that they'd refund, but we'll see if they make good on that promise. The customer service rep would not give his or his supervisor's name. Very shady SCAM artists. Do NOT order from this company.

Hummingbird Vine Bogus Products

Ordered from mygardenlists.com a subsidiary (I think) of Gardeners Supply. They constantly send out emails regarding their great products.A month after placing my orderl and after I sent two emails to them requesting the statusof my order I finally get a confirmation of shipping. Via USPS. Just today I get a small cardboard box in my mailbox with 8 small dead looking sticks and a dead "free banana tree".I am shocked that places like this are able to operate. Their advertising is bogus, their product is a joke and I spent $31.90 for nothing. I wish you could stop them and get mine and any other fool's money backthat fell for this scam.

Gardener's Collection, Paw-Paw, Banana, & Rasberry plants, all dead twigs

I placed a order for Paw-Paw trees, Banana trees, and Raspberry plants, in May of 2012, when I opened the box, I was very disappointed, the plants were only @ 6 to 8 inch dry sticks except the raspberry plants were @12 inchs high, their was no plant moisture packing around the roots to keep them from drying out, they were loose in the box. Well I planted them into large pots to bring them out of dormancy, and placed them outside, watered them faithfully, and they have not budged, today is July 16, 2012. They are dead twigs, I have tried many many times to call them, always a busy signal, so Today I wrote them a email from their website demanding my money back for their dead twigs, we will see, I have a bad feeling about my money spent. I have only one suggestion, BEWARE

I had charges from them that totaled over $100.00 I sent them a e-mail to let them know I did not place a order with there company That bank fraud had occurred They never answer any e-mails All I get are there shipping times I am so pissed off The bank is looking into it but more or less are saying that Gardeners Collection has to agree to refund my stolen money. All they send is a shipping chart Does any one know how to get there money back from these thiefs I am crazy over this

I ordered several items from them for over 4o.

What I received was 6 crispy trees? that were about 6 inches tall and as dried and dead as could be.

They had been advertised as 2-3 ft tall. Company is a rip-off and now e-mails to there company are returned as mail address unknown or unavailable.

I called credit card co. I got half money back as hummingbird vines that lived seemed okay.

They also sent me more. BUT these have been in ground 2 month and have grown perhaps an inch. Planted in various sun exposure places.

Will not order from them again. I order nothing except with credit card
